Mirvac has named Kit Georgeos as chief executive of funds management. The appointment, announced via LinkedIn, becomes effective on 6 October.

Georgeos is promoted from her role as fund manager of the Mirvac Wholesale Office Fund, a position she has held since 2023. She succeeds Scott Mosely, who departed in September to lead real estate at IFM Investors. Her career includes three years as fund manager of AMP Capital's wholesale office fund and a seven-year tenure at GPT Group, where she spent four years as deputy fund manager of its wholesale office fund. Georgeos began in real estate investment banking at Macquarie Group.

RMZ Corp Hires for $35 Billion Expansion

Indian developer RMZ Corp has appointed Ankit Samdariya as managing director of equity capital markets, according to market sources cited by Mingtiandi. The hire comes as the Bengaluru-based firm seeks to raise $35 billion over five years to fund office, data centre, and other developments. This plan includes a $1.7 billion joint venture with Colt DCS.

Samdariya joins after five years as managing director for capital and business development at LO-GOI Group, where he facilitated a $200 million warehousing sale to Blackstone. His earlier experience includes eight years at Xander Group, where he served as chief executive of co-working brand Hive Workspaces.

Barwon Partners Name New Managing Partners

Following its acquisition by Hillhouse's Rava Partners earlier this year, Barwon Investment Partners has named Tom Patrick and Jonathon Pullin as managing partners. Patrick continues as head of healthcare property, overseeing nearly A$2.5 billion across three funds. He recently led Barwon's A$291 million acquisition of Melbourne's Peninsula Private Hospital from Australian Unity.

Pullin remains head of real estate credit, a role he has held since 2018. He oversees the firm's mortgage and credit funds, bringing prior experience from a six-year director role at a multi-family office.

Other Asia Pacific Appointments

Several other significant personnel moves were reported across the region. GuocoLand Group hired Wenjie Lim as head of investment management and hotels. Lim joins from Tuan Sing Holdings, where he worked on the acquisition of Fraser Residence River Promenade.

Singapore-based Structara Digital appointed Bernard Mah as chief operating officer. Mah was previously COO at Nova Complex, building data centre projects internationally. Lendlease hired Sho Tamada as senior asset manager for investment in Japan, supporting a new $739 million value-add partnership with PGGM targeting Tokyo and Osaka logistics and offices.

Goodman has brought on Helio Kutomi as data centre capacity delivery and operations director for Japan. He will oversee the delivery of the Tsukuba Tech Central campus, a 45-hectare, 1-gigawatt project in Ibaraki Prefecture. Cushman & Wakefield rehired Keith Hemshall as an executive director in Hong Kong, as office rents in the Central district show signs of recovery.

The source notes that these appointments reflect ongoing strategic shifts within the region's real estate investment and development sector.
