News: Key appointments and departures in the Asia Pacific real estate industry

Hong Kong's real estate landscape is witnessing significant changes in leadership, with several key appointments and departures in the industry.

**Leadership Changes at Hongkong Land**

Hongkong Land's longtime head of office leasing, Neil Anderson, has stepped down after two decades with the flagship developer. According to a Bloomberg report, Anderson's exit is part of a broader strategic shift for the group. Anderson had joined the real estate unit of Hong Kong's Jardine Matheson in 2006 and oversaw leasing and asset management for the flagship Hong Kong Central portfolio, leading last year's $925 million sale of 13 floors at One Causeway Bay to Alibaba.

**New Appointments at CapitaLand Investment**

CapitaLand Investment has appointed Hsieh Fu Hua as deputy chairman and non-executive independent director, effective 12 August. Hsieh, 75, takes the deputy chairman seat that current chairman Miguel Ko held before being promoted in 2019. A veteran of Singapore finance since 1974, Hsieh was chief executive of the Singapore Exchange from 2003 to 2009 and later president of Temasek Holdings, chairman of United Overseas Bank and chairman of Tiger Airways.

**Generational Transition at Godrej Properties**

Godrej Properties has re-designated Pirojsha Godrej from executive chairperson to non-executive chairperson, effective 14 August. The move formalizes a generational transition announced in April, as Pirojsha steps up to executive chairperson of parent Godrej Industries Limited and the Godrej Industries Group, succeeding his retiring uncle Nadir Godrej.
